Elizabeth Rickert Dowdy is a minister and mother living in Cumberland, Virginia who has also recently begun to think of herself as an artist. Her most familiar mediums are words, food, and textiles–especially writing curricula, devotions and preaching; cooking for her family and friends (and self!); and hand-sewing recycled cotton T-shirts. Along with Suzanne Stovall Vinson, Elizabeth birthed Feast on a train ride over a picnic in 2007, and has been inspired by the life and love it gathers each year. She is exuberant to be a featured artist at Feast this year.
