We are excited for our new series, Chew on This! Spend your lunch break learning and sharing (and eating) as you listen to our guest presenter. The Chew on This series will alternate months with our VBWIM online Coffee Break.
Our next Chew On This will be in January 8 at noon on Zoom, and will be a little more interactive than our previous offerings. Combine art and reflection to consider the pastor/leader you want to be in 2025. No prior art experience is needed for this facilitated reflection with Rev. Amy Hall of Shalom Creatives.
Please have the following supplies on hand for this Zoom:
- 1 piece of cardstock, mixed media paper or construction paper (a piece of 8.5×11 blank piece of paper will work just as well)
- Scissors
- At least 1 or 2+ magazines that you don’t mind cutting up (if you don’t have any, look for the free community magazines at the grocery store, banks or restaurant lobbies or grab a HomeLife magazine from church)
- Glue stick (tape will work if you don’t have any glue)
- Optional: Colored pencils, markers or pen
You have creative license so feel free to improvise with your favorite art supplies.
Consider lighting your favorite candle, sipping your favorite beverage, indulging in a little chocolate and creating a space of rest around you as you take time to reflect and create. (You are welcome to eat lunch, too.)
